Our Story

The Jalpaiguri Zilla School Alumni Association (JALZISCAA) was established in 1975 by a group of dedicated former students who wanted to maintain their connection with their alma mater and fellow alumni. What began as informal gatherings of a few graduates has now grown into a robust organization with thousands of members spread across the globe.

Over the decades, JALZISCAA has evolved from a simple social network into a multifaceted organization that supports both the school and its alumni through various initiatives, events, and programs. Our association serves as a bridge between the past and present, connecting generations of students who have walked through the hallowed halls of Jalpaiguri Zilla School.

Today, JALZISCAA stands as one of the most active and influential alumni associations in the region, known for its commitment to educational excellence, social service, and the preservation of the school's rich heritage and traditions.

Our Objectives

Foster Alumni Connections

Create and maintain a strong network among alumni across different batches and generations, facilitating communication, collaboration, and mutual support.

Support Alma Mater

Provide financial, material, and intellectual resources to enhance the educational environment and infrastructure of Jalpaiguri Zilla School.

Mentor Current Students

Organize career guidance, mentorship programs, and skill development workshops to help current students prepare for their future endeavors.

Community Service

Undertake social initiatives and community development projects to give back to society and make a positive impact on the local community.

Organizational Structure

Executive Committee

The association is governed by an Executive Committee elected by the general body of members for a term of two years. The committee consists of:

  • President: Provides leadership and oversees all activities
  • Secretary: Manages day-to-day operations and communications
  • Treasurer: Handles financial matters and maintains accounts
  • Executive Members: Assist in various functions and initiatives
Sub-Committees

Various specialized sub-committees focus on specific areas of work:

Plans and organizes reunions, cultural programs, sports events, and other gatherings throughout the year.

Manages scholarship programs for deserving students, including selection of recipients and disbursement of funds.

Focuses on connecting with alumni across different regions and encouraging their participation in association activities.
